ABOUT OZMATE

In order to better communicate and interact with Australian alumni in Indonesia, the Education section at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta launched an alumni website www.ozmate.org in May 2007. OzMate is a social networking website exclusive to Indonesians who:

• have studied or are still studying in an Australian university, TAFE, college, school or English language course;
• have undertaken a short course or an exchange program in Australia;
• have participated in:
  -    Australia-Indonesia Muslim Exchange Program
  -    Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP)
  -    Australian Consortium for In-Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS)
  -    Australian Defence Cooperation sponsored training

By joining OzMate, alumni will be able to get in touch with their mates and other alumni, build new networks, as well as receive regular updates on upcoming alumni events, important information, and job opportunities.

OzMate is not only beneficial for alumni, but also for Australian institutions and organizations. In OzMate, Australian institutions can easily locate and maintain contact with their alumni, and can also post news and upcoming events of interest to alumni. As for organizations that are looking to employ Australian alumni, they can post their job vacancies on the OzMate job board.
