Mr Alvin Tjitrowirjo

Mr Alvin Tjitrowirjo is an exciting up and coming designer. After graduating from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) in 2004, Mr Tjitrowiryo returned to Indonesia where he worked as a product developer for Chamdani, a furniture design manufacturer and Grain&Green, an architecture firm. He later established his own label alvinT which specialised in industrial design, art design and interior design.

Mr Tjitrowiryo has already gained an enviable reputation for his distinctive and innovative designs and is becoming increasingly well-known in Indonesia for his furniture, lighting, accessories and jewellery designs. His reputation overseas is growing as a result of showings of his work in Australia and China. His work has been showcased in Milan, Singapore, Australia, and Indonesia. His solo shows have been supported by Volvo, Samsung, and Harpers Bazaar. In addition, Sony Ericsson, Polytron and numerous private residences have commissioned Tjitrowiryo for independent projects.
