Over 50 alumni were inspired to become Indonesia’s next innovative entrepreneurs after hearing the remarkable stories of two outstanding alumni Ligwina Poerwo-Hananto (Financial Planner) and Donny Wardhana (Cattle Importer) at the 1st Entrepreneurship Workshop for Australian Alumni held by OzMate on 10 October in Jakarta. Ligwina and Donny, who are past finalists of the Australian Alumni Award for Entrepreneurship, shared with their fellow alumni their inspiring experiences when establishing their own business in Indonesia. Alumni were also given essential knowledge related to small-medium enterprise development, such as product development, branding and pricing strategies, financial planning and book-keeping, and people management by three experts in small-medium enterprises development. The Workshop was held due to popular demand through the online survey at www.ozmate.org. OzMate plans to hold more professional development workshops for alumni in the future.
